FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

All the info you need for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2011:

Chimp's will be having Free Comic Book Day Saturday May 7, 2011! We are giving away 2 FREE comic books from a preselected list. We don't have the total list just yet, but it should be somewhere around 40 to 50 different comics. We ask that no doubles be taken by anyone. If you would like more than 2 comics, all you have to do is bring in a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local Salvation Army. 1 food item equals 1 extra comic book.... Even if you don't want any free comics, we will accept donations as the Salvation Army can always us the help. Help us help the needy with a good cause and a lot of fun. We will have day long sales (yet to be announced, will be announced soon). We are also having a Magic Prerelease this day so things will be packed, but we will get everyone taken care of. Thank you very much!

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY COSTUME CONTEST:

Come in on Free Comic Book Day dressed in costume and enter into the costume contest. We will take a picture of you in costume and you will need to fill out a form. We will post all the costume pictures here on Facebook for you to "Like". Who ever gets the most "Likes" in the time set (will be announced when pictures are uploaded), will when a Chimp's Comix prize pack (its a surprise whats inside)! Good luck!!!!!

MAGIC THE GATHERING NEW PHYREXIA PRERELEASE:

Entry fee $25 + tax. You will get 6 booster packs (3 Scars of Mirrodin and 3 New Phyrexia) to build your deck and a special promo card just for playing. You will get packs from the new set 1 week before it hits the shelves. Prizes include booster packs from new set and promos. This is on the same day as Free Comic Book Day, so bear in mind it will be a tight fit that day. We apologize in advance for this, but we figured we would try to get our customers both of what they wanted. Thank you.


Saturday July 3, 2004 was Free Comic Book Day. This was the first year that Chimp's Comix had participated. Chimp's had 14 Free Comics for customers to choose from. Customers could have any 2 comic issues of the following.

Free Comic Book Day was a huge success! Chimp's had over 60 different people show up for Free comic books. It didn't hurt that Chimp's was having a Magic: The Gathering tournament that day as well as starting a 12 year anniversary sale! Advertising with the local movie theater during the opening week of Spider-man 2 also didn' hurt.

Chimp's Comix would like to thank all those who participated in making July 3, 2004 a day to remember.
